This blog is dedicated to the memory of our daughter, Casey Joanna Brooks, who ended her life by jumping from the Golden Gate Bridge on Tuesday, January 29, 2008.

Our mission is to raise awareness for the preventable tragedy of suicide, particularly where teenagers are involved.

This site is both a source of remembrance for Casey, whose story has already touched many, and a source of information about the deadly history of the Golden Gate Bridge and current efforts underway to erect a suicide barrier, a project 7 decades in the making.

It is important for me to get Casey’s story, and the broader story of teen suicide, out to as many people as possible, so I’m sharing my work with you in the hopes that you can pass it on to others and, hopefully, find a broader voice in a public venue to share with others who suffer their tragic losses alone and apart from the world around them. 

Please join us in our fight to stop suicides from the Golden Gate Bridge once and for all, and to protect our loved ones from impulsive acts that can prove deadly and irreversible.
